A 26-year-old woman was walking her dog in Ridgewood on the morning of Tuesday, August 3, when a cyclist rode behind her in a chain snatch incident – and it was all caught on camera.

The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. outside 17-39 Bleecker Street. Police in the 104th arrondissement search for the man who approached his victim on a black bicycle, grabbed her by the shirt, then forcibly removed a gold collar from her neck before taking off north on Bleecker , according to the NYPD.

The victim suffered minor scratches to his neck and back, but refused to receive medical attention at the scene. The necklace was worth around $ 1,100, police said.

The cyclist is described as a dark-skinned man with a slim build, long salt and pepper hair in the cornrows and was last seen wearing black shorts, a black T-shirt, glasses and he was wearing a bag of light brown books.

No arrests were made. the investigation is ongoing.
